Accolades Continue for “The Keeper of the Keys”
The “Vegas Indie Film Festival!” (VIFF!) just announced Official Selections for their 2013 film festival, and “The Keeper of the Keys” was on the list! If you haven’t seen this film yet, be sure to order your DVD today or download it on iTunes and see what all the buzz is about!
An Award-winning Self-help Film
Writer/Producer Robin Jay was excited to see the announcement, which means the 4th set of laurels for her first film. “The Keeper of the Keys” was also an “Official Selection” at the Las Vegas International Film Festival, where it also won the award for Best Independent Film, and it also earned The INDIE Fest award for Best Documentary.
“The Keeper of the Keys” is Better than “The Secret”
“The Keeper of the Keys” is the first funny self-help film that empowers viewers. Jay wanted to bring something more to the genre than what she was seeing, so when her mentor, Hollywood Producer Stephen Simon suggested she make her film funny, she jumped at the chance. The challenge, she says, was in making the film funny without taking anything away from the experts it would feature. Personal development experts in the film include self-help icons Jack Canfield, John Gray, and Marci Shimoff. Because it’s a lighter look at self-help, the film is being called “Better than ‘The Secret’” by many who see it. The film’s tag line is “Taking the ‘Hell’ Out of Self-help”! Transformation has never before been this inspired.
The Vegas Indie Film Festival will be held primarily at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 1 – 8, 2013. For more information on the festival, visit www.VIFF.net.
